Years ago, I created the website whoisthecutest.com for my girlfriend at the time. All it said was “you are” in big letters. She’s a very sweet person, and this was a way to thank her. I didn’t think much of if afterwards until six months later, when someone pointed out that it had gone viral on the internet (2.4 million visits as of this writing.) After thinking about it for a while – like years – I decided to bridge my love of music and typography. While on the road this year the melody popped into my head in the middle of the night (damn you brain, I was enjoying that dream about Katy Perry) and I wrote it down. I then assembled crack team of amazing musicians to play it: Jayme Stone on banjo, Andrew Small on bass, Nick Fraser drums, Yoed Nir on cello and myself on clarinet. I then enlisted the incredible talents of Christopher Mennuto, who’s superb kinetic type skills I had discovered on YouTube, to put it into visual motion. Thanks for all your work guys, I had a lot of fun getting this together!
